Nationals Week Recap: Day 3 Key Results


Day 3 of Nationals week was probably the best day so far for the Land Of Lincoln. Lets look at the best performances from Nike Outdoor Nationals and New Balance Outdoor Nationals.


Nike Outdoor Nationals-

  • Katelyn Lehnen of Chatham-Glenwood takes 7th in the Girls Championship 400m with a new PR of 54.68.

  • Owen Horeni of Yorkville takes 19th in the Boys Championship 800m with a 1:52.57.

  • Katelyn Lehnen of Chatham-Glenwood qualifies for the Finals of Girls Championship 200m with a 23.85.

  • Highland Park takes 2nd in the Boys Emerging Elites 4x800m with a 8:02.81.

  • Downers Grove North becomes National Champions in the Boys Championship 4x800m in 7:40.71. Payton was 5th in 7:52.30.

  • Isaiah Whitaker of Bloomington Central Catholic takes 2nd in the Boys Championship Pole Vault with a vault of 17-1.75. Paul Migas of Lakes was 5th with a vault of 16-0. Cooper Schaad of Geneseo takes 9th in 16-0.

  • Mya Strahm of Elmwood takes 5th in the Girls Championship Pole Vault with a vault of 13-8.5.


New Balance Outdoor Nationals-

  • Normal Community takes 21st in the Boys Championship 4x800m with a time of 7:53.88.

  • Chicago Kenwood takes 6th in the Boys Championship 4x200m with a time of 1:26.64.
